Yes, we are still alive! Were you worried?
Probably not but it was fun to pretend for a minute, wasn't it? Ok, so maybe that was just me...
Anyway, we had an absolutely fantabulous weekend. I took off last Friday to attend the Fuzzy Friends Rescue Pooches on Parade Style Show. It was outside at a beautiful estate just outside of Waco and my mom went with me. So, so much fun and for such a great cause. I have pics so I will wait to bore you with all of the details until I download all of them.
That afternoon Dave and I went to the gym and, while we were there the vet (who was one of the models in the style show) called with Bo's biopsy results. When we tried calling back, she'd just gone in with a patient so we had to wait...but it was totally worth it because the big guy's results were better than she ever expected.
The tumor was a Grade 2, which she expected, but it was extremely well defined and had terrific margins. While there is a very slim chance it could recur, she doesn't it doesn't generally happen and - for now at least - Bo is well. You know, if you don't count the secondary condition he developed from colitis for which treatment includes Preparation H.
That's better than the alternative we were facing this time last week so we'll take it. Besides, Dave is 100% in charge of that treatment!!!
We had a laid back and somewhat lazy Saturday before celebrating Mother's Day. My man, who was still on crutches, brought be breakfast in bed and the girl chalked "Mommy is the best" on the sidewalk. So sweet!!!
After church, we had a quick (and light) lunch so we'd be good and hungry to hit Se Cocina with my parents in the middle of the afternoon. They have amazing Mexican food and the portions are crazy big. My parents had never been but I'm absolutely certain they will be back.
I was also out of the office yesterday as it was Dave's big follow-up appointment with the surgeon. Are you ready for this? He was released and will go back to work next Tuesday. He also doesn't have any other appointments with this doc unless he starts having trouble with his knee again.
Amen. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.
So we spent the rest of the day driving around in his sports car because it's a standard, which meant he hasn't been able to drive it for 10 weeks. Tons o' fun.
And, in other news, I am now suffering from a minor case of whiplash. :-)
