Catching Up

Ok, so it's been a while. But I have a very good excuse - our home was taken over by the stomach flu last week. In fact, each member of the family was systematically taken out. Each for various amounts of time but none came through unscathed. It was as delightful as it sounds, friends.

Prior to the plague, though, we celebrated Baylor Homecoming by the annual distribution of the ol' Homecoming publication.

This little guy had his third - yes, THIRD - surgery. And this time he actually appears to be healed. For which I am very grateful.

Tonto smoked an absolutely amazing brisket for the Homecoming tailgate.

The day of the actual game, we started out as any normal folk do - shearing the goat.

But soon we were where we belonged - on Floyd Casey's hallowed ground.

In between all the football and illness fun, there's been lots of time at the farm with hard working boys...

...and farm friends. :-)

Oh, and I left out high school football. The game Friday was a pink out but I'm trying to erase it from my mind because our QB got hurt and his replacement - bless his heart - seemed to have never seen a field before.

But, hey, any excuse to wear a cute pink shirt (and eat solid food) is reason for celebration, right? :-)
