Friday evening we headed to downtown Waco to enjoy Brazos Nights, which is a monthly concert put on (for free) by the city from April through July. It just so happened that our friend (and former neighbor), Brad, was playing with his band that night. We do love Jason Boland and the Stragglers!
We had dinner at Ninfa's (yum!) before heading over and staking out a good spot. The man was ready for some good music. Clearly.
The girl was a bit restless so we decided to take a walk on the Suspension Bridge. Can you say impromptu photo shoot? :-)
Just a little reality...
Beautiful sculptures along the river courtesy of Clifton and Betsy Robinson. Love them!
Don't look now but she's smiling, y'all!
Behold, two STRAIGHT arms!
About this point, she found her groove and decided maybe hamming it up a bit wasn't so bad after all.
My new favorite picture...
Love. Her. Madly.
Also praying she does well on her math TAKS test today. This is the one that stresses her out each and every year but, y'all, this year they didn't even start preparing until February. Needless to say, there's been much stress and tears. It's not that she doesn't know the material, she's just not a great math test taker. Every other subject is (generally) aces but not this one. So this mom is praying hard today :-)
