O-N-E

The weekend before Thanksgiving was a busy one around here. The Oklahoma State Cowboys, a lot of rain and croup for the baby came to town. The good news is a steroid shot was all she needed to find the road to recovery and the Bears came away with a win even though they played during a monsoon. :)

I have no pics of said monsoon because I stayed home with the healing babe and began getting ready for her very first birthday party! It's so hard to believe she's one, y'all, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that she's so stinking tiny and won't be adjusted age one year until February.

But, still, there was a party. Because, of course.

There was a tiny cake and an adorable hat...

...way too much food...

...a beautiful cake...

...and my new favorite party food - donut hole skewers...

...along with punch, chevron paper straws...

...and bejeweled silverware.

All in all, a relatively simple yet (I hope) appropriate set up for Tiny's personality.

This picture is a bit misleading, though, because her big sister is the reason she actually smashed the cake. She really wasn't all that sure about it. But she did take a few bites and then moved onto a different snack food. Basically, business as usual.

Love these sweet girls...

...and Nana and Boppy were also on hand.

She also had fun opening presents but mainly just wanted to play with paper and bags. Typical one year old stuff.

Later Paw Paw and Uncle Roy came over and we repeated the process again. A simple, sweet celebration for the precious one who so unexpectedly rocked our world.

We absolutely have a lot for which to be thankful. :)
